Bio

Carolina Eusébio (b. 1992, Porto, Portugal) is a Portuguese artist. Her practice is driven by a need to understand the world through making, exploring memory, transformation, and presence.

Working intuitively, she allows each piece to develop its own language. Drawn to the space where seemingly opposite ideas meet, her work often brings together beauty and decay, tenderness and brutality, childhood and adulthood, comfort and unease. She works with materials including oil and acrylic paint, resin, wax, glue, silicone, dried flowers, and paper, drawn to the ways they change over time, preserving some qualities while losing others.

Born and based in Porto, Eusébio studied at Escola Artística de Soares dos Reis and Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and the United States.
